Greetings from Guatemala!

Elvias’s story

Elvia first came to the hospital in 2019. She lives two hours away and had heard about Faith and Practice. Initially, she always saw a doctor at the hospital who told her they would never perform surgery on her. The doctor repeatedly warned her about the risks. After the pandemic, Elvia expressed her frustration to the doctor, asking why she had to suffer, which eventually led to the doctor referring her to Faith and Practice.

She started seeing our surgeons and continued her treatment for two years. After a lengthy process, she was placed on the surgery list and recently received a new knee. However, her right knee also needs attention. Elvia currently lives with her daughter and is eager to help her, but her husband, who is older, is unable to assist. Given that her daughter has a family, Elvia will stay with them during her recovery.
