Day 3 – Team AGO
We started out day with a devotion. Jeremy, one of our general physicians talked about small acts of kindness; a great beginning to the day. Ruth shared a story with us about assumptions. She talked about a woman in her 70s with six children who had never had a gynecological exam. Ruth described how sweet it was that the woman’s daughter-in-law eased her anxiety about getting the exam.
We got to our clinic site early so we took advantage and took the team picture of approximately 54 people. All the individuals in the red hats are local volunteer who come to help us out. We could not do this work without them.
I made a point of taking pictures of all the clinics so that everyone can see who works in each place.

It takes all of us plus the red hats to have a successful team. Our second day went really well. It rained like crazy and we experienced the Guatemalan rainy season. It made for very soggy yellow sheets, the need for raincoats and boots and tons of humidity. Nevertheless, we had a great day serving.
Blessed to serve,
Mikki
