Women’s health is a vital issue in any community, but particularly in underserved communities. At Faith in Practice, we recognize the importance of women’s health in these communities we serve. The team strives to provide comprehensive and compassionate health care for women, including physical examinations, diagnostics, and biopsies. If further treatment is needed, such as surgery, we can arrange for the patient to go to an external hospital rather than one of the local community health centres. This ensures that the patient receives the best possible care and treatment. We want these women to feel safe and heard.
Today, Lesly, a 32 year old woman, visited the GYNE Clinic. We assessed and examined her, revealing a diagnosis of pre cancerous cervical cells. The diagnosis was explained to her and the pros and cons of the surgery. After considering all of her options, Lesly agreed to be referred to an external hospital to have the surgery. She was very appreciative of the care and attention she received.
