Thursday was our last day of cases. Throughout our time of service, each member of our team has developed both personally and spiritually, overcoming various challenges while remaining thankful to God for this opportunity to serve. We have learned to take things slow, to appreciate the little joys that life has to offer, and to trust God’s plan for us, even when it’s hard. We as Christians are called to a life of service, to be a light in the darkness of this broken and often hopeless world. To have the opportunity to be a light to the people of Guatemala is a blessing, and is not something that we should take for granted. As it says in 1 Peter 4:10, “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace”. This week was a fantastic opportunity to do just that, and we look forward to taking the experiences we have gained home with us. We are proud of the work we have done this year and look forward to another great week next year.
