Today Dr. Boutros led a great devotional about perspective and gratefulness. He reminded us that things like material goods and professional success weren’t the key to happiness. Instead, gratuity for each gift and experience, no matter how mundane or unpleasant, allows us to find happiness.

This lesson made me curious, and I decided that I would ask some of our patients and volunteers what they were grateful for in today’s blog. Here are some of their responses.

“Everything and especially that I was accepted to have surgery.”

-Francisca

“God.”

-Teresa

“God and how he has helped me.”

-Elvida

“First God, second how Faith in Practice treats her and the other patients.”

-Soemia

“I’m grateful to be here and to have the energy to help where needed.”

-Dalfina

“The opportunities that I’ve had that have allowed me to be here in this capacity.”

-Wes

“The natural world. I love the simplicity associated with it.”

-Dr. John

“I’m honestly grateful for everything. I don’t know if that’s a disappointing answer, but I really am thankful for all the little things.”

-Dr. Sam
