Team Wells, a fabulous team of 19 from the states, arrived late last night and were greeted at the airport by the always sunny and welcoming Tangi and Julia. We were so happy and grateful to see them! We spent the night in Guatemala City, then traveled to Antigua this morning.

First stop: Casa de Fe where we had our orientation and were able to see the beautiful facility. We even got to sing Happy Birthday to Amalia! Tangi explained the protocols and how they’ve changed since COVID. She went over our schedule and answered our questions.

Then Team Wells bussed to our hotel: Villa Colonial where we had a yummy lunch and all enjoyed the picture-postcard courtyards with volcano views.

We went back into Antigua where we wandered as tourists, where we soaked in the gorgeous sights, sipped coffee, sampled sweets, and enjoyed this most stunning city.

We’re excited to leave for San Cristobal Acasaguastlan in El Progreso in the morning where we’ll set up a clinic in a community center in collaboration with the FIP team and the local volunteers.

We’re all looking forward to being ready Monday morning with our skills and hearts and smiles. It’s the best gift: being of service, and Team Wells is, once again, ready to do just that.
