Today has been a very busy day of traveling. Most of the team for our trip flew from Texas, but a few of them came all the way from Colorado. It was a short 45 minute drive from Guatemala City to the Beautiful small town of Antigua, a pleasant surprise since it normally takes us 2 hours. It is great to see old friends and welcome the new faces coming together to for a common goal to support the people of Guatemala. One of my favorite things to hear on team introductions is how people come back year after year because they love the impact they have during a busy week. I have talked to a few team members that have said that this is their 15-20th trip with Faith and Practice! It is so great to see people come back year after year to volunteer their time and skills to help those who are need of serious medical attention. Tomorrow will be a busy day for us with day of triage and setting everything up in the OR for the surgeries on Monday.
