Today after the last rounds on post operative patients, the team boarded the bus for the ride back to Antigua where we will have a free day to relax, shop and visit with friends.

Last night the team had a celebration dinner to bring our week to a close. We had time to visit and talk about our collective and individual experiences during the week. Each member was given a certificate to thank them for serving. Blessings abound on these trips and every one has been touched in some way.

As we leave this beautiful place and return home tomorrow we take with us the memories of connections made, joys encountered and hopefully take the love of the people we served back home.

1 Peter 4:10 tell us “Each of you should use whatever gifts you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”

Our team is made up of 24 individuals with different gifts. We have surgeons, surgical techs, nurses, clergy, support staff, a photographer and a blogger. We have come together as one team, just as the body has many parts all working together for good.

I want to say a special thank you to Jay Mirelez He is a great team leader and the week ran smoothly.

Thanks Jay for a job well done,

-Laura Cousar
