Day 3 of surgery, where has time gone.  3 Doctors, 84 cases down.

As days go by, we began to realize how much love we have for people of Guatemala. All the volunteers’ hours and hard work means so much.  We received so many social distance hugs and “Thank you” from our patients. Things ran very smoothly, and the patient went home this morning feeling better than ever.

Every day is a different, yesterday rain caused the power to go out; we conquer.  We know God have us covered nothing could stop our last case of the day.

Another case started as a Lap Chole “Gallbladder Removal” turned into an open surgery because the patient was bleeding internally from one of his intestines; not only did the doctor fix one problem but he saved the patients life for the future.

We are blessed to a Urologist on board this trip because theirs so many men that need service.

Example:

Two male patients had suffered for over 10 years with bladder/UTI issues; they found out later it was kidney stone and the stones were too large to pass.  With the Urologist on board the male patients can get the attention needed.

When traveling with a Dream Team every day is very special and the words “NO, CAN’T, or LET ME SEE” don’t exist.

COVID-19 can’t stop what God has planned for his children. If you believe anything is possible.

Quote:

If we are believers, we must learn to walk by faith we do this by trusting the Lord and his word in every situation. We cannot allow our feelings to overcome our faith. Emotions constantly change but the word of God never changes. Let us not make decisions out of fear, let’s rely on what we know about the Lord; he is faithful, and he is just to do what he said he would do. Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Psalm 34:17 The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.34:18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
