This morning’s devotional reflected on the week and centered on being together, taking care of each other, and how we all need to contribute in order to make progress. We took a few minutes to write letters to ourselves about our experience and what we take away. The letter will be mailed back to us in a few months and we look forward to the reminders of hope that we are feeling now.
We had a nice lunch in Antigua, did some shopping and sightseeing and returned to the hotel for our last team dinner. Dr. Austin spoke about each team member and expressed his gratitude for each of us. He thanked Felipe and Tagni for their leadership. Many times what we plan for is not how the week plays out, and we are grateful for their flexibility with the team and patient care during the week. We headed to bed early, as we need to leave for the airport tomorrow at 3am for our early flights.
It was a joyful day.
