Feb 16, the first day of work began with breakfast at 6 a.m. and then, a brief morning Devotion led by Fito Arana, our Surgical Coordinator, and then, on to the hospital by 7 a.m.
Pre-Op Intake Day: By the time the staff briefing at the hospital was done and the patient triage began, the lines of people hoping to be seen & treated were eye-opening (for me, my first time here) & heartbreaking.
Even before the end of the day, the hospital capacity for the duration of our mission, NOT just one or few days, was reached.
Yet, the next day, Monday, Feb 17, more people, perhaps from even further away, came for help…
