3rd day of surgeries, 3rd day  of 13+ hours of hard, dedicated work. Our day started off with a reflection from Dr. Heather gave the devotional this morning for our group about a French village during World War II. The village lost a beloved statue of Christ in a bombing raid. The villagers managed to rebuild the statue, except for its hands. Those pieces were never found in the rubble. Finally, the villagers placed a plaque on the statue with the inscription, “I have no hands but yours.”

Anyone who thinks that they are too small to make a difference has never tried to fall asleep with a mosquito in the room. 😉
We have definitely seen this in action through these busy and long days. Being able to aliviate our patients ailments is such an indescribable experience. Their smiles and words of appreciation make the soul appreciate being the mosquitoes in the room.
